Nevertheless Moments

Have you ever been to the place where life was going in one direction and you wanted it to go in another? I have. However for all intents and purposes at that time where I wanted to go and where God wanted me to be were not in harmony. I call moment like these nevertheless moments; the moment when what I want and what God wants are polar opposites, unthinkable even.

I recently read this nevertheless moment which is a defining moment for all of us. It comes by way of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the moment when the weight of the sacrifice, the weight of our sins seemed just too heavy a load to carry.

And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Matthew 26:39

Nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt...

I'm over at Laced With Grace today. I'd love for you to stop by and read the rest of my post Nevertheless Moments

  1. I know for myself I've done this God's moments and mine was not always the same. I remember a time when I was in my 20's my mother use to say to me "girl when are you ever going to stop fighting with God " and I would say mom I'm not fighting God..little did I know as being a babe in Christ I was fighting Him. I knew I was very hard headed when growing up, so I knew it God would have to do things different with me to get my attention. And He did and I knew that once He got my attention and I learned I never go back to doing what ever it was that was wrong.

Thanks for posting the blog I enjoyed it!
