You are God’s transportation
His voice to the world
You are the vessel he uses
To bring hope to the world
To tell them of God
And the son that he gave
Jesus Christ who died
For the sins of the world
You are God’s transportation
But are you in use
Or parked at the roadside
Your mouth tightly closed?
God wants to use you,
To carry his word
But the world will never
know
How Jesus died and rose
again
If your voice is not heard
You are God’s transportation
So promise him now
That you’ll tell about Jesus
Who died, rose again and now
is on high

I love your poetry, Bernadine. It is true for me that I often that I keep quit with the people I work with, because I don't want to offend them. I need to just be ready to share. God will do the rest.
ReplyDeleteThank you Iris. You're so right, if you make yourself ready to share God will do the rest. Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteHi Bernadine! I love this poem. We are the vehicle which God uses to bring His good news! I love it when you really KNOW that He wanted you to share something and you were obedient!! Oh la la!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Susan. My mom preached a message "You are God's Transportation" many years ago and it just resonated with me.The poem was my response.
DeleteI like this. I've thought of us as God's spokesmen, mouthpiece, and ambassador, but not as transportation. But, it is a good metaphor. Are we on the move for God or just "Or parked at the roadside"? Tell your mom, "Good poem" for me!
ReplyDeleteThanks Warren. My mom's in heaven now but I still gain inspiration from her words.
DeleteI didn't realize that about your mom. How wonderful it is that you have some of her written works to continue to provide inspiration!
